All Pinebrook Members and guests are required to be appropriately dressed when using our Club premises. Suitable items may always be purchased from our Golf Shop, which carries a large selection of golf apparel. Anyone failing to comply with our dress code may be asked to leave.

We consider golf sportswear to be minimum attire. This includes:

Golf Course

• Tailored, pocketed dress slacks, and tailored shorts that have an inseam of at least 5 inches and are comparable to those sold in our Golf Shop.
• Ladies may also wear golf skirts or skorts similar to those sold in our Golf Shop.
• Men's golf shirts must have sleeves and a styled collar (mock or blade collars are acceptable) and may be left untucked only if designed to be untucked.
• Ladies golf shirts must have either sleeves or a collar.
• Golf footwear with soft spikes or laced athletic running shoes are acceptable.
• Jeans are not permitted on the course or practice facilities.

Clubhouse

• Golf Course attire as described above.
• Denim clothing that is in good repair, fits appropriately, and would be considered dress/business casual may be worn in all areas of the clubhouse except our Garden Terrace Dining Room. Denim may be restricted at special dining events, which would be communicated to Members in advance. Acceptable denim does not include overalls, painter pants, or those that are extremely low cut, faded, torn, etc.
• Only the wearing of proper cocktail/evening dining attire and ‘dress' jeans is acceptable in our Garden Terrace Dining Room.
• Men's dress shirts that have a tailored hem and are designed to be untucked may be worn un-tucked in the clubhouse.
• The wearing of hats is not permitted in the clubhouse.

Unacceptable Attire

We do not permit the following on our premises at any time: short shorts, halter tops, collarless tee shirts, sweatpants, track suits, workout wear, hoodies, clothing that exposes the midsection flesh, logos that could be considered offensive, backwards headgear, denim (except as noted above), cut offs, or any attire of a similar nature.

Stampede

During the 10 days of Stampede, our dress code will be relaxed to permit the wearing of Western wear and denim in all of our Food and Beverage areas.

Members and guests are permitted to carry their cell phones while at the Club, however the following rules apply:

• Cell phones must either be turned off or be in silent/vibrate mode in all areas.
• Talking on cell phones is restricted to the parking lot, halfway house, and places within the clubhouse that do not disturb other Members.
• An effort should be made to move to a quiet location before talking on a cell phone.

Pinebrook is a non-smoking facility. Smoking (including the use of electronic cigarettes) is not permitted within any buildings or patios. Smoking areas and cigarette butt receptacles are located 6 meters outside all entrances.

On course smoking is discouraged. Smoking refuse should be removed once fully extinguished and not left on the grounds.

The sale or consumption of cannabis (either by edibles or smoking) is not permitted on Pinebrook property.

Through our liquor license for the sale and service of spirits, beer and wine, Pinebrook is subject to the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Act, and the Regulations thereunder as defined by the Alberta Liquor Board. We are committed to the full adherence of all liquor laws, and our staff are trained to comply with these laws and regulations. Staff will not serve a patron to the point of intoxication. Should any Member or guest find themselves in a position of not being capable of driving home after a round or any of our social events, our staff would be happy to arrange for a taxi or designated driving service to drive both you and your car home safely. No alcohol may be consumed on Pinebrook premises that has not been purchased and/or served by Pinebrook staff.

Lightning is a severe safety hazard. Players will be warned of lightning in the area by our Thor Guard prediction system which sounds one prolonged blast of the horn signalling suspension of play. All players should leave their respective holes and either return to the clubhouse or proceed to an approved shelter immediately. All small buildings on the course are protected with newly installed lightning rods.

When the horn sounds to suspend play, the first and tenth tees are closed immediately until the all clear signal is given, as indicated by three blasts. Play on the golf course is suspended as well, and if the players choose to continue, they will be doing so at their own risk and against the advice of the Club. Consequently, they are considered out of order, and the players going back out after the all clear signal shall get the right to their original position on the golf course at the time of play suspension.

We believe that a round of golf that takes too long to complete reduces the level of enjoyment for our Members and their guests.

Unless otherwise set out for specific events, the following reflects the maximum expected times to play 18 holes at Pinebrook:

• Normal Tee Times – 4 hours and 5 minutes
• Crossovers – 4 hours and 20 minutes
• Shotguns – 4 hours and 30 minutes

A round that exceeds these times is considered to be unacceptable. Please be mindful of our pace of play expectations and keep up to the group in front of you at all times.
